    How important is link exchange?

    Hi,

I have a site http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com, my intention is to provide the best services to my customers. I donot want to get into this link exchange business but I heard this is very important, so I am going for it too.

My site has good content and around 50 articles on debt related topics. I think that is enough to be at #1 in google.

How important is link exchange and what is the best way to handle it?

    Thanks in advance

Seen your website. Its a great looking website, but i am afraid a few more things are required to be done to rank well with search engines. You should consider submitting you your site for review on this forum ... you should get good feedback.

As far as the your specific question of links is concerned. Yes they are very important in two respects.

    1. Save time to get listed on SE : When you have a link coming from a highly ranking website, the SE crawler will visit your website and you get listed depending on the content of your website. This way we get listed without submitting to SEs.

    2. Goood links get you higher page rank. Treat it this way, when more people link to website ... it means you are more popular ... and your content is more useful to others. Dont you think the SE should rank you high if you are more useful and more popular?

SE consider a lot of factors in links to assign points to your page rank ... ...

contact me if you need more professional help ... i am just struggling to meet a few deadlines!!!

    Thank you for the views

I am really thankful for the valuable suggestions. But my experience in this forum is not that good, I have posted my site for review but only one person has viewed it till now. I guess the pace of life is too speedy to handle.

please have a look at my site and do advice me to improve it. This is my first work of this kind. Your help will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks once again

I have found that the nicer looking sites get less reviews then the bad ones. So if you get less reviews figure you must have a nice site. I also looked at your site and it is very professional looking.

If I was going to do two things to promote my site it would be links and text. I think those are two of the most important things to do.

Another thing I would do on your site is look over your meta tags. I would pick my main key words and use them in the title, description and key word tags. Google reads from top to bottom left to right when they get to your site. You want to start them off by telling them your most important key words in each of your meta tags as they read the page. Then again when they get to the text. The more help you give them the better off you are.

I would try to get at lest 6 words in the title but no more then 12 yours is a bit short.

You also need to make sure you use those same key words in your description. Right now your title, key words and description seem to have different words.

One thing that is also important is to make sure when you start exchanging links is to use your best key words in the link.

For example I would use web site design or custom web design as the link for the person to click on in order to get to my site. This helps in your ranking for that key word also.

I have herd a lot of people say they get more hits from links then the search engines.

    Link exchanges are key

The amount of quality, relevant incoming and outgoing links to your site is absolutely, unconditionally the number 1 thing that Google looks for when determining your Page Rank.

Be very generous with your cross-linking and you will see the results in time.

    Hello Friends,
Link Exchange is Algorithm of GooglE search engine so try to keep eyes on Quality Links to exchange because google will include those links that are related to your services.

Quality of Link=Website should be related to Your Service+High Rank website Link+Link should have the best keyword in Link.

So try to keep eyes on these factors,

    Hope it will help ypu..

Thanks, I think this will help

    Hi,

Thanks to all, specially to Janeth and Sudhani who took a special interest on my site. Thank you for the appreciation too.

One more doubt, There were some keywords on the top of the site.
    1) keyword color white (#ffffff)
    2) the keywords are inside the table and the cell color is blue (#333366)
    3) my overall page has background color white(#ffffff).

Since my page background and the text are of same color, will google penalize my site for that? But it is very clearly visible as the backgroud of the table is dark blue.
Currently we have changed the color of text and table background. But the site looks odd.

please put some light on this doubt.

Exchanging links is a great way to start, but a few good one-way links will help a lot. These are easy to get if you use a couple of simple strategies.

    RE:How Important is Link Exchange

At www.pacificwildhorseclub.com we offer reciprical links to other like minded sites. But instead of having links scattered throughout the site, we confine them to our specific "Related Links" page.

    you're ok...

You're ok on the text. It wouldn't be ok if the white was on white. The rule is that the text must be 3 digits diff. That is a background of ffffff must be at least cccccc to be ok.
