Pingbacks

I've been making lots of new posts today + doing lots of internal linking.

As a result, in my dashboard it says I have lots of comments - well these are actually pingbacks from pages already on my site.

So should I be deleting these (I would have thought so) only it must look odd for a person surfing to see these 'comments' at the bottom of my posts which really make no sense or seem to serve a purpose?
