I think The "Sports center" On Star sports and ESPN is the best tv show.

Live action show I enjoyed most was Prison Break. By HBO. Completed now. I watched all the box sets.
Firefly also kept my interests.

Oh yeah walking dead I am going to follow up with the box set. for season 2 soon.

Don't forget The Big Bang Theory, seems to have replaced 'Friends' on UK television as the one show that's always on and worth watching if there's nothing else.

Gotta admit i enjoy the game shows too i watch Let's make a deal almost daily and when i get the chance also The Price is Right.

I'm surprised no one has yet mentioned Game of Thrones - amazing series adaptation of a great fantasy novel series. I'd say it's on par with Lord of the Rings movies on production values.

I watched The Walking Dead season 1, but wasn't quite convinced - zombies were nice and the setting was fresh, but plot and characters lacked depth. True Blood on the other hand has been consistently very entertaining and well done.
