For the source file it only calls out to the XML files and you can also control with the css file. But, yes you can edit the source fla file and edit the blue box whatever, heck even change the Text Type for that box to be Static instead of Dynamic which is what it's set at now. That way you can make the flash do what you want before the XML.

    Hope that helps.

    You need the source FLA.
You need Adobe Flash or older Macromedia Flash to edit that and build a new SWF. Not the Flash Player that plays SWF - you need Flash editor that edits FLA and publishes to SWF.
Latest Adobe Flash CS4 should be able to edit all older formats.

If you purchased the template with the source code, you can do the following:
    1) The best option: you have the XML main source file. Simply open in any text editor and edit the text, parameters, etc. Your SWF file will be loaded with the updated parameters.

    2) If your template does not contain the XML source file but only FLA file, then you will need the Flash application (currently available from Adobe). The workaround: get the SWF decompiler, decompile the SWF file into components and use them to build your own Flash file (SWF format) with Flash application or other Flash building utilities (like from CoffeeCup, Selteco, Swish). Pricewise, the workaround is much cheaper.

I am reading this that you have bought a website template, that includes a flash file for the welcome section of the website....

If that is what you have and you want to make the flash welcome section larger, it may not be as simple as it sounds, as unlike a graphic that you can simply scale up, you have to scale up all individual bits of a flash movie, which if that includes all kinds layers and instances and actionscripts, that isnt so easy.

I will take a look if you pm me with the attachment and describe exactly what you want to achieve.
