    Traffic from google image

I am getting lots of traffic from google image and i don't understand why over 70% of my traffic would come from there. I have both google analytics and statcounter installed, but it does not tell me what keywords people use on google image to get to my site.
Does any body know to track keywords on google image?

Try Google Web-master Tools, as it shows separate rankings for web, Images and mobile.

And other option is just check which Images are mostly viewed and what name you have given to those images then you can figure out what might be the keyword, for confirmation just enter that keyword in Google Image search.

So are you telling me that in your Google Analytics account, you can't see the keywords that are bringing traffic to your site if they came from Google images? But if they came from regular search can you see the keywords?

If you have awstats, or another server log reading/parsing program that should tell you where the traffic is coming from, and what image is being hit. Analytics won't tell you because it is javascript based, and only tells you about page activity.. not images or other files. Analytics relies on javascript in the html to get the user information, and only if the user allows javascript to be ran. Analytics is helpful, but not going to be 100% accurate.. you should use it with another stats program that reads directly from the server logs (like awstats or urchin)

    Doh!
    In that case..
If it don;t come back tomorrow - I'll try and remember to come back and post the actual 'filter' code for analytics..

As an aside it might be you have a featured image included amongst search results. These seem to come and go at random.

Always on page 1 and can blow the click throughs on text links above and below clean out of the window.
