Links from blogs are do-follow or no-follow?

    hi,

I have a doubt, links from blogs like xyz.wordpress.com, xyz.blogger.com, xyz.wetpaint.com are do-follow links or no follow links?

At xyz.wordpress.com, you will find that OBLs are NOFOLLOW. However, at blogs hosted on individual websites, it is up to the site owner to decide whether to NOFOLLOW or not. (There may be a default setting with some canned programs... I don't know.)

There are tools (such as Quirk SearchStatus, which is a FireFox add-on) which will highlight NOFOLLOW links on a page, in order to know for sure.

Yes, if you host the blog you can set the blog up to follow but they come set up with NOFOLLOW. There is a plug in for wordpress.

I also believe there is a way to make the post follow on some of the sites hosted on the free hosting sites.

If you use Firefox there is a plugin that you can use to determine if links are nofollow or dofollow.

    1. There is no such thing as Dofollow. Misinformation abounds on the Internet.

    2. I believe Wordpress default is rel=nofollow so you need to install a plug in to make the blog where the OBL will have trust.

    3. What happens when PageRank disappears??? Will the tag still be effective. I doubt that it works properly now so I do not see it being truly effective in the future.
