Now Google & Twitter Have Struck A Tweeting Deal

So all in the same day. As we know Bing and Twitter have teamed up with Bing offering Tweet searches at Bing's Twitter Search page and how, apparently Google has teamed up with Twitter too as they have announced on Google's Official Blog that we can find tweets and status updates in Google Search as well.

They consider tweets and status updates to be a "interesting source of data about what is happening right now in regard to a particular topic", Neat.

Google also said they consider tweets and updates to in the search results to be of value to search. But they didn't quite say we will see the tweets in our regular search results but instead will have a product out in a few months.

I'm hoping there will be value in this as at the moment I'm not sure what the value would be.

I am wondering how will the search results maybe. If it will be on a separate standalone search product like Google Blog Search or will it be merge on the normal search result... But I think it will be a standalone search...

Hope to hear the next news about this search deal..

Well like the Bing deal with Twitter, I believe there will probably be a stand-alone page dedicated to tweet searches. Again, Google did say there will be a 'product' out in a few months so it's going to be interesting to see what they produce.

Now that Bing has released their product, Google has some time to analyze the buzz, likes and dislikes of Bing's tweet search and hopefully come out with a much more interesting product.

This is very interesting news and will be interesting to see the type of data it provides. I'm worried that it will be dominated by high profile brand names though.

    That's a possibility...

It's also interesting because we can safely assume that google has a much more sophisticated search engine that twitter does - maybe there will be a 'google' search implemented into the Twitter site...replacing their current search function...

Seems like a load of noise to me...

I would have thought google would have just "done that" anyway, they seem to with everything else.

Who says google can pinch my description tag and title, and show it in their serps?
Who says google can rip images from my site and show it in their image search?

    I didn't.
