Can someone tell me where the hits from adwords and ppc show up in Google Analytics?
Is it in "from search engines" traffic? or is that specifically from organic searches?
thanks,

Your Adwords traffic should be reported in Traffic Sources > Adwords > Campaigns. There are some additional options in the Adwords section for viewing campaigns in different ways.
It looks like there have been a few changes lately, but right now, the Search Engines area appears to just give organic results. If organic and PPC sources are both being shown in the same report, for example a list of referrers for a page, they will be listed as Yahoo (organic) and Yahoo (PPC), for example.
The best way to learn anything, is to question everything.

thanks Wige,
that was the answer I was looking for...
and it brings up another question. I assumed 'referrers' meant inbound links. So that would actually be from multiple sources?
thanks,

Not always true as referrers can put your URL in JavaScript or indirect link. Yes there can be many referrers for your website.

thanks for clearing that up, Ace
