seeking a biz partner, preferably a web designer.

Good day, Web Pro world Members,

I am an Indian citizen, residing at India. I am a game designer. Before few years I had designed a board game which, blends playing skill along with luck factor. This board game was first of its type and its board design was marvelous and gaming features were attractive. I had designed this board game for manufacturing and to sale its actual models; that is hard back board and plastic pieces, dice etc. The concept behind this board game has been derived after watching and thinking over game player's, gambler's psychology over a lot of period.

When I was introduced to Internet before three years, I thought of the possibility of creating its web site. I can't design a web site and I started looking for an Angel Investor. The cost of this project would be almost US $ 5,000, according to my first estimate. After few months a web designing firm informed me that the cost may increase further due to the nature of the web site, complications of a board game design and elegant look.

I tried to pursue many USA based Angel Investors and Venture Capital fund to invest in this venture. Unfortunately I did not received any Investment. Firstly because I myself can not invest enough money into this project and secondly because I am not a USA citizen. I also request many USA and European web site designing firms to consider my equity participation offer. It is difficult to receive an Investment with only a good board game design and concept of business. I am still trying to attract Angel Investment for this project.

I decided to learn a web site designing myself and post my request on Stack Over Flow-dot-com web site. I received answers for my queries from about six senior web site designers. Almost all of them feel that it is a difficult, practically impossible project to 'do it yourself' type venture. They are right of course, as I had guessed it before, it must be a difficult and complicated job. Simply buying a template of a static web site is not going to work for this case.

So the point is, will you like to invest in my project? by simply designing a web site and not by investing in cash. If you are interested in reading more about my project and business concept, I will like to send you my detailed business plan.

I am also an article writer and some of my articled has been published on a USA based web site. I am writing, composing my first novel(An adventure fiction) with the help of a USA based on line self publishing firm.

I am thanking you again for kind consideration of my request and for giving your valuable time.
    Awaiting for your hopeful reply,

    With Regards

    Chandrakant Deshpande,

Do you have a working prototype of the game? You want to create a web-based game or just need a website to sell the game?

Good day, Mr. Hotbizsol, I do have a prototype of the board game. But this prototype in not electronic or online prototype. There is a board design on paper. Plastic pieces, dice. Rules of the game are written and instructions are written on proper level. I want to create a web site in which this interactive game can be played by members. Membership fees will be there. If you have played chess or black gammon online, you will understand the four players playing the game online on one board. All four players are rivals to each other. Only one of them win the game. I want to add many more self designed games to this web site in future. I want this web site and this biz to flourish as a leading game developer and publisher.

I think your best bet is to copyright it and to take the idea to a Milton Bradley/Parker Bros. and see if they might be interested in publishing it. Very few games are 'evergreens' - you have Monopoly, Scrabble, etc. so the theory behind the game needs to be particularly compelling.

Thanks for your guidance. Do the above mentioned firms will partner in a web site biz? or finance me for launching a web site?
Also can you inform me the web site URL of these firms?
    Thanks and Regards,

This seems rather interesting to me. What sort of website do you want/need? How complex is the site going to be?

    To, Mr.Sequence hosting,
I am sorry for replying after a week's delay. I was totally engaged in my job for last few days.
I need a web site which will have dynamic pages. This web site will be a complex of course. First I will give you an idea about my conceptual board game. This board game can be play/enjoyed among four players at once. At least two players are necessary. This board will be a twice bigger and complex then ordinary chess board. Time clocks for counting every player's time taken for movement is essential. There will be an arrangement for dice playing and dice count recording(electronically)
As an interactive gaming web site, my web site will have an arrangement for recording all participating player's dice counts and piece moves. Players should be allowed to enter in a gaming hall, choose tables or set a new table and invite other players for participating on their tables. This all will be just like a 'Yahoo chess'.
The web site will be commercial, charging yearly fees from its members. If you want to know more about my board game and review my biz plan, please contact me on my new e mail address, topgame11166-at-aol-dot-com.
