I'm not sure why, probably because almost all of our links are internal, and the homepage is constantly being updated.
It did take a polite email though to get them to look at us.
Still I'm delighted as it's our only way to reach out to the net.

now almost 6 years later, how are your rankings doing? have things changed?

good content and many high PR black link will be better than google indexing, i think.

One of my sites has new content indexed in three hours so I'm very happy about that!

Indexing is good but cannot guarantee results. I have a friend who has 11000 indexes and his traffic is about constant for the past 6 months. SEO is the only way out in some such situations.
