Connecting my submit form to my forum

I would like to make my forum password protect. But instead of creating one password, I want to generate a new one for each user once they submit thier company to my database. This means that each user would have there own password and I could make sure that every one in the forum was a designer. Any ideas?

I don't know about you, but I have a few passwords that I use for everything, that way I can remember them when I go to log on somewhere.

If you randomly generate passwords for people, then the chances are they are going to get something that they have no chance of remebering when they come back to use your forum again.

I think your best bet would be to have a registration form, where the user gets to choose their own password. Exactly as it works on this, and other forums.

    Good luck.
