How does Google handle what is considered spam from Twitter?

So just a while ago I decided to use what I considered the dreaded Twitter but found it could end up being a good tool to use for marketing purposes.

I also ended up spamming it a bit with links to my site but eventually realized what I was doing and deleted many of my posts to my site.

So how does anyone think Google handles Twitter spam and so forth.

I must note though that I've gotten some referrals from the Twit but seriously not many.

Google handles twitter spam the same way it handles all spam, poorly..

Twitter is cool.. Set up Tweetdeck and a few searches and you'll start to see the power of it..
