keep position in SERP when changing content

Okay, I have managed to push my site to the first position when searching in google.com.vn with keyword "may chu ao Linux". I keep that for 1.5 month. At that time, it's the index file of my site.

Now, I have moved that page to inner page, and put different content in the index file. The result is my position disappeared.

How to keep the position if I want to update index file content once few months? Each time changing, I want to put different content for different service, so the keywords should be different.

    Thanks.

You always take a big risk changing content on your index page as it can easily slide down the rankings. Its best to quit whilst you are a head and focus on other parts of the site.

Minor changes are ok so long as your keywords stay intact or at least that is what i've found.

Changing content can also change your site rankings..If you changed your content and there is no change in your rankings that's good for you, but be aware of changing your site's content..

I experienced some drops when I changed the file structures of my site. So you may expect the same. But it recovered very soon.

One solution may be to build some quality and relevant backlinks for the internal pages where the content will appear permanently. Google rank a site depending on the quality of and relevancy of the content that it is providing. As you change the content, the ranking will change accordingly.

Try to optimize the internal pages where content will appear permanently: so that these pages can rank high in SERPs.
