    Usually I go and search these things but I'll just ask. This does what? Don't index what?

    <FilesMatch "robots\.txt">
    Header set X-Robots-Tag "noindex"
    </FilesMatch>

    Also, for we still on shared servers, when does htaccess start to slow pageload. I look at perishable press's blog and see the blacklists and think - this has to be too much. But, of course, I don't know.

    I think most of the suggestions on this thread are a bit outdated. My company hosts 100's of wordpress sites, and wordpress and joomla sites are the easiest sites to be hacked. And we use to have 2 or 3 sites hacked a day, but since we installed on all our servers eXploit Scanner, this has stopped, really stopped, perhaps since we installed we have 1 or 2 sites hacked a MONTH. it is very good software, you can read about and purchase at http://www.configserver.com/cp/cxs.html or when you finding a hosting company email them first if they have this software on their servers.

    In checking the date of the post prior to yours, I guess you are right.
