The Internet Exploder vs. FF debates been done to death. The fact is IE still has the largest following and we have to code for every possible user out there, so who really cares which is best or worst. If people use them, we will accomodate.

I downloaded the latest version of IE 8 and i noticed that at intial stages the window would get hanged for some reason but now it's working fine , it has some more advanced features than the IE 7 and this is more interesting to work with

I have it installed and it works fine, but like many here I stick with FireFox.

Can IE8 be easily removed, and then go back to IE6?

Provided you have not installed any service packs after installing the browser, you should be able to uninstall it through the Add or Remove Programs section of the Control Panel. (Programs and Features in Vista).

Full instructions can be found here: How do I uninstall or remove Internet Explorer 8?

The WebProWorld database has encountered a problem.

There is something that is so insecure that it is good for some tasks. I write this post on my laptop with IE 8 and Opera 10 Beta.

If you open a new tab in Opera, it is instant. You have to wait seconds if you do the same in IE 8. In addition, I get the following message in the lower left corner:

"You seem to be on a slow network. Opera turbo speed is not enabled...."

You can enable / disable Opera Turbo Speed by clicking on the circular disk in the lower left browser window.

    Thanks WIGE for the reply.
That comparison question always pops up when a (new) browser(s) is discussed.

And the security / efficiency model is a natural subject.
