In pure SEO terms, www.international-call-card .com would be the strongest domain name.

No domain name gives such strong benefit that it outweighs page Titles or Link Text. The reason this domain will help most is mainly because where people who link to your domain use only the domain name itself, it still contains readable keywords (search engines like Google see hyphens as spaces).

It is one of the weakest domains in terms of marketing generally though, because it takes more spelling out. You have to tell people where to put the hyphens when speaking over the phone. Viral marketing (previous customers telling friends) is similarly hampered.

The best all-round balance would be for the version without the hyphens - internationalcallcard.com - because it is easier to say the URL, and no-one ends up typing internationalhyphencallhyphencard. :D

using keyword URLs as link pages

It was recently recommended to me that a good way of increasing SEO for my company's website https://earthtecinc.com would be to get a new domain that targeted our keywords, in this case something like web-hosting-offshore.com or
offshorewebhostingpanama.com and optimize Earth Tec's index page for those phrases, then link them to the rest of the earthtecinc.com site.

My question is: don't search engines see this as an unacceptable practice - ie lead in pages strictly used to load a page with keywords? Even if it is not prohibited would it be seen as distracting for the viewer to be switched from one URL to another? Or was the person suggesting that I switch all of our content over to the keyword URL, not just the index page?

In response to anuj_pandit1, and this would apply to my case as well, does it matter if someone were to enter into the SE "international calling cards" instead of "international call cards" or, in my case, "offshore web hosting" as opposed to "offshore webhosting".

    Thanks for the advice.
    Susan
