    Site Marketing

Some of you will have seen that we now have a video section on website marketing and here is the link Video SEO - WebProWorld

As I wander around the forum world I am still seeing people, companies making the same elimentry mistakes that frankly diminish the chances of getting natural search results by around 98%. If you spend your hard earned cash on developing a website then why not spend a few extra pennies in getting the site onto google?

There is nothing so enjoyable as seeing a site sitting on top of the Search Engines and then seeing the numbers of hits or visits that your site is generating.

So, where are people going wrong?

They are not Thinking Searcher they are thinking Corporate Image.

They are not using longtailed URL's based on simple readable html coding and they are not even bothering to link these pages.

Video is about to take off in a fairly big way, all right, potentially massive. Wige has made a stunning sticky thread in the above link. And I implore you all to visit there and to participate.

We are in a Global recession, you do not need me to tell you that. So Natural Search is a total essential part of your overall strategy.

There will be dozens of video production firms springing up, whereas a logitech desk camera can set you back $40.00

I know which method I will be using!

This is an almost 'ground floor opportunity' for you to revamp your website. A new page, properly coded, so read Wige's post, could mean that YOU will be getting natural search results this year.

Site URL titles - this amazes me, the number of people that say 'All the URL's for my keywords are taken, even the ones with dashes! All it really shows is a lack of imagination, there is nothing in the URL rulebook that stops you from using your anchortext or keywords in a URL.

Example - I'm going into the Green Widget business, it's a real growth area folks! OH! but all the GreenWidget .com and orgs have all been taken! Woe is me - hold on, I could use GreenWidgetsfromHarryandCo dot com - No one has that, and my keyword is upfront and my Corporate Name is there too. WOW! And if you link that opening page, and all the others and keep adding content and a video about green widgets, guess what!

You may make page one on Google!

Are you talking about ELEMENTARY mistkakes like misspellings? ("elimentry")

One thing I tell my customers when they give me copy to post on their site, RUN IT THROUGH A SPELL CHECKER! Then have 3 other people read it who have never seen it before. Ask for suggestions. It is amazing how your copy, which makes perfect sense to you and the rest of your buddies who you sit at the local bar with and share war stories about all the moron customers you have run into that day just before the bus crashes into the building next door and .......

    You get the idea.

Make your site professional and it will help keep those customers you get from the search engines.

    Re: Site Marketing

Video will be the next big trend. My daughter's video site is getting around 40 - 100 viewers per 5 mins viewing. The problem my daughter is facing will be her advertisement shown on the web. She only attracts viewers but not much for her ads. She used to run Google Adsense but not so good result. So, I helped to convert it to become Clickbank Ads. I am wondering if that will be a good choice of advertisement as the ads might not go with the Video Site.

My question is what sort of ads should she be doing for site marketing as she does attract viewers to her site?

Hi Edhan, is she in the forum world? There is no real question that forum posting as opposed to forum link dropping is an active way of reaching your target audience.
