    Retail online webstores better to put phrase(for sale) after keywords?

    We are trying to improve search engine rankings for our supplement store and where wondering if its better to list Bodybuilding supplements for sale or Bodybuilding supplements? Fat burners for sale instead of fat burners. Would adding for sale to the end of the key word produce more turnovers and higher rankings since it is more specific?

    Its true, works the same for any street shop: put a "sale" sign and you are guaganteed to have more visitors!

    While using "Fat Burner for sale" may trick some search engines, many customers would be upset if they felt they had been tricked into viewing the website thinking there are items at a "Sale Price" on the website.

    If you are offering the Fat Burners at a Sale price it will help if you use "Fat Burner Sale". I believe the search engines like Google can understand the context of how you use the word "sale" but others may not. Regardless, the buy decision is still left to the customer and if he/she feels tricked into viewing the site, you may just be getting traffic and no conversions.

    Just take a walk in the mall now that Christmas is over. You will see many retailers that have the SALE sign out. When you walk into their store to find that there really is not a true SALE happening, how do you feel? What is your impression of the store? Is that how you want your website vistors to feel.

    I agree with the previous response "everyone likes a sale". Just make sure it is a true sale price if you use the keyword "sale". The "sale" price does not need to be the best on the Web but it should be at a significantly lower margin as conpared to the margin you use for the other similar items in your store.

    I think you were actually asking if the words "for sale" would help. What is most interesting is that the first 3 responders misread your question and read instead the meaning to be "on sale".

    Those are 2 different things.

    And so, given that the Pros who frequent this most helpful place were confused by your use of the word "sale", it seems a good idea to not use it.................unless you would sometime actually be "having a sale" and be featuring "sale prices".

    I guess everyone is supposed to know that if your site is about fat burners, you are probably selling something.

    'For Sale' means you are willing to deliver if the customer is willing to pay. This differentiates you from many Manufacturer's sites that present the products, but only offer a list of resellers, with no way to purchase online. This is very positive and powerful.

    'On Sale' indicates you are willing to sell the item for less than either MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price), or 'street price'. This is even better, as it attracts not only buyers, but bargain hunters.

    How many times would the words 'for sale' appear on your pages?

    Better to think up new ways to imply 'fat burner' so that by inference the search engines would relate them to 'fat burner.'

    Huh?

    How many synonym phrases can you invent, derive or construe from your key phrase? Use them to populate the implication all over your site, and let the SEs infer that they all mean the same thing, which leads right back to you.

    Using on sale, for sale, buy etc are good keyword modifiers because people who want to purchase will use these terms to filter sites that don't sell the product. I try to include these in the meta description and if it is a product "on sale" or it is a sale price I'd likely include it in the Title as a call to action. The bottom line is fat burner is still your primary keyword and the modifiers quite often are not very competitive terms so they are much easier to place at the top.
