Why is it harder to get Google backlinks?

Just wondering why its so much harder to get Google backlinks, than it is to get MSN or Yahoo?
It seems like Google links are like gold dust....anyone else have this problem?

Google does not show all the links they see. Chances are you have more links than what Google is showing.

Google avoiding many links from same sites, Also indexing the site pages which having better quality. Some pages there u place the link is not indexing.

Use "Google webmaster tools" to check out more about external link data.

as far as i know google only shows you the real backlinks. So it is only for the QUALITY backlinks

Its not like that when you check back link from other place than you may get more back link than Google shows. Google is not shows all the back links to your site.

Have you tried dropping Google a line to ask if they will check the back links are correct?
