Thread: Web giant manipulation

    Web giant manipulation

Yahoo/Overture recently decided that they could rule on what will shown to internet surfers and what won't. Is this the future we have to look forward to?

In a letter to Internet pharmacies they stated. "All pharmacy web site will be banned until they are approved by an independent company appointed by Yahoo". After going through the process my client was told. "It appears you are selling medications to the USA". On these grounds they were disapproved. It is perfectly legal to sell prescription drugs to the USA from Canada, in accordance with the free trade agreement. Who is wagging the dog here??

FACT: The average patient that buys prescriptions from Canadian pharmacies say "I would not take my prescribed medication if I could not buy it from Canada because it's just to expensive in the USA". These drugs they refer to are life saving cancer treatments and heart medications. What is Yahoo thinking about?? But I guess money speaks loader that dying people in the corporate manipulation world.

A little research will show you that a close family member could be the next victim of this kind of corporate control over where you CHOOSE to buy the treatment for an illness. The cure is surly freedom of choice!!

Your comments may help stop this kind of corporate manipulation.

    Misplaced

I share your disappointment here, and I'm sure you'll get a lot more responses if your message was posted in the forum dedicated to search engines.

I think it's a dangerous sign when any body/organisation decides to implement their own form of censorship on what they believe to be "wholesome viewing". Look at the case of AOL for one example... if people are deprived of the freedom to search without censure, it can only lead to a bleak future, both for consumer and industry alike.
