    Re: Flash in SEO??

Actually people need to move past the 5 year old mentality that it's not SEO possible in flash... I think the ability to SEO just depends on who is doing the website and just how motivated a person is to create it.

We have successfully integrated many strategies that make titles, keywords, descriptions, content, etc. all pulled for search engines, yet leaving a front flash system for users... I think it's perfectly acceptable and a great technique to use.

All the tools our out there on this topic, you just have to research and make it happen.

I have a short 6 minute video that shows how SEO in flash looks on the front end, and how it looks on the backend with our store... but I think it really shows what is possible, and this is just the start, obviously others could be more precise, but it's doing everything and more that html sites can do... (wait, html can't do any of this either, they use server side to do this

Although Google said they can now index flash but I would keep it to minimum usage. Since it is just a started phase and how do you know they will correctly discompose the components of the flash file or not? The search algorithm changes all the time and if the big principal doesn't change then why your SEO strategies change?

Yes, Google can read Flash but it does not always do it accurately. I have seen examples where Google has produced two results for the same page - one Flash only, one html minus Flash. If you can get by without Flash, don't use it especially for text. Find an other way of doing it.

Search engines like Google have gotten a lot better at reading Flash files than they were in the past.Use Flash elements, instead of using Flash for primary site navigation. Also, it is usually better to have several individual files than a single file that resides on only one HTML Page.Flash has been around for some time now and while it is pretty it can seriously hinder a websites ability to position well in the search engines.

Have you considered using a FlashCSM Template - You're able to assign keywords and descriptions to each page. You can also created unlimited pages. The sites are amazing to work with and you don't actually have to use the Flash Software to update the site. It has no database and is on the fly admin using XML technology.

We've used this as a platform for many clients websites and they are doing very well with them

Flash in a website is a good way of attracting visitors, but it should not
affect the loading speed of the website.

Totally agree that's why I like that these are opening within 3.5 sec's Of course you've got to do a little tweaking like drop the music. Sure it's nice to have but it's just not wise unless that's your medium.

You can add flash in your website, because seo can read and extract the flash file. Also flash file will not hinder your seo efforts. Some times it is difficult to get Flash content indexed by search engines, regardless of what the search engines claim. so it is better to provide alternative form of navigation if your site uses fully Flash for navigation purposes.

Using Flash in Web sites is a good idea of presentation. But we need to be careful not to add more flash objects. The consume more space. So, it may make the site slow. So, its better to use flash where video is extremely required.
