    Fast PR3

I maintain my company's website and can't seem to break the PR3 that we have had for quite some time. Meanwhile, I've created a couple of websites, as a favour, and it seems like one of them is already a PR3, without a lot of backlinks, only after being in existance for 9 months.

Recovery Force - PR3, been online for 8 years
Guelph Bible Chapel - PR1, been online for a couple of years
Two Roses Bed and Breakfast - PR3, been online for 9 months

I guess that the PR really doesn't matter. To me it is just a personal challenge, more than anything.

Google PR is calculated based on lot of factors, in which back links is one of the criteria. Couple of years back we noticed PR drop when we removed some external links from our website. I have a blog which got a PR of 3 with in 3 months We can't predict Google...

Well, there was a time when I still work hard in getting my PR increase but lately, I don't really see the need for it because good or not so good PR doesn't really decide which site would be in good SERP... since our target is to get better SERP for more traffic, that is what I am focusing now and surely its not a waste of time.

I know you've got to have good content and an obtimised site, using top keywords...to begin with. Then, get backlinking like its going out of style. Say goodbye to family and friends and bury yourself in directories, blogs and pings, forums, articles, press releases and a few others that I can't think of right now. Its hard work and thats why the SEO's charge so much to do it for you. But its best to do it yourself. Why be a slave to SEO's and have to continue paying them money forever? Crazy.

the hardest part in PR increase is getting PR 4 and up! You need lots of backlinks from very respected sites.

well, it needs a lot of continuous work to get your PR and most importantly to keep it. there's no set rules of PR increment. You can get PR 5 for a 2 months old site. I've done it for many of my clients.

PR isn't mandatory for SEPRs but it's still very much important.

I think blogs tend to get a higher PR in a shorter time. Maybe its true for forums too.
