Has anyone heard of linkshare? THey have companies that have affiliate programs sign up with them and websites can apply to programs thru them?

Has anyone earned anything from them?
Also i'm having problems accessing their webpage as of late has anyone else encountered this problem?

Hi,

I do an affiliate program with McAfee (AV software, spam killer, firewalls, etc.) through LinkShare. Have received commissions, but agree their site is dog slow and could really use some optimization work.

Much prefer Commission Junction (www.cj.com) - bigger companies, better affiliate programs, good ad collateral, excellent reporting, combined commission check, etc.

Now if they could only do something about URL lengths...

I contacted them heard back after a few days and fixed the problem turns out kazaa lite lists it as a banned site now I'm just having login problems.

I have an acct with CJ too. I have to get my affiliate linnks for my new site set up.

I took a look at the spamvirus website BUT I have to disagree with the AVG 6.0 Virus scanner cause I tried it and found that it sucks it skipped over a virus on my computer.

I see you offer a free ebook would I be able to offer that as a giveway on my site?

I use them all including BeFree which now owns CJ but LinkShare is good, they always pay good to! I try to stick to the bigger programs.

Also, I have to agree with you on the AVG antivirus. For a free one, it's pretty good though. Most people don't know that almost no AV packages actually catch all the new viruses.

There's 70,000+ known virus definitions. Big problem is always the mutations. You're at risk until your virus definition file has been updated to cover the latest threats.

Kaspersky Lab's is the only company whose AV software does adapt & predictively detect 100% of the new stuff. They also are the only ones catching all the password-protected zip versions.

By comparison Norton AV (#1 in market share) picks up somewhere in the mid-80s in most virus attack comparison tests.
