It depends whether that budget is per month of per day and also depends on what keywords you are using. What industry are the keywords related too?

The number of keywords has nothing to do with your budget!

You can have just one keyword and use up a budget of $500 / day.
It all depends on how much traffic the keywords get.

$50 is a good budget to start a test campaign.
I would start with only a few keywords. Only when they prove to convert expand and add more keywords.

There is no minimum budget although you need to give them $5 to activate the account.

There is no minimum ppc budget and you can start with $500 for one keyword per day.
Proper keywords research, market analysis and specially competitor analysis is most important before doing investment in PPC campaign.

$50 won't get you far on Adwords. Especially if you are advertising on the Search network. You might want to consider going after the content network first or try and find cheaper keywords for Search. The big problem is that profitable keywords are expensive and you will ALWAYS have to test before you can make a campaign profitable.
