    Opinions on X-Cart hosting

    Hello,

    Can I ask if anybody had any experience with X-Cart hosting (X-Cart hosting: complete e-commerce hosting solution) which has been introduced by the compant few months ago (if I'm not mistaken)?

    The thimg is that as a developer I'm also hosting some of my clients' stores. I've actually been very happy with X-Cart as a platform and considering moving to their new host and also hosting new stores there (their conditions seem very reasonable).

    What was your experience (if any)? Should I go ahead with them or still stay with other hosting companies they recommend?

    I have not personally hosted with them, but I do have a few licensed carts.

    However, their support is often slow at responding to support requests and questions.

    So I would be very hesitant to host with them since they have a slow response time. Although it might be different with the hosting.

    I have a X-cart site hosted on HostGator and have not had any issues.
    If you want to go that way.

    X cart works pretty well with seo, but the layout may not be very eye catching, hostgator is a decent host for the price.

    Yes, X-Cart's skins might have been outdated, but the new Light'n'Lucid skin is cool. Thanks for mentioning hostgator, however, it doesnt seem to be listed as recommended, and that's what I'm actually looking for...

    Check your hosting company should install the cart and integrate the necessary elements and they should provide 24x7 support & 99.9% Uptime guarantee because you know how important is this.

    Re: Opinions on X-Cart hosting

    I inquired X-cart about their hosting, but there are problems:

    1. They said it's going to be a Dedicated server, then later on they told me it's a shared server shared by 30 stores. I immediately lost interest in their hosting after that, since they sound like they don't know their own servers?

    2. Their bandwidth limits are very low about 20 times lower than industry standard.

    3. They bill you in Russia, support is in Russia and is very slow, but the hosting is in USA and they are not so sure where their servers are located at.

    4. Their "Hot Rush" (double the price) ticket takes at least 24 hours to receive a response and action from.

    5. I suspect some of their folks are involved in hacking their customers sites. A suspect, not a statement, because too many things have matched (hard to explain).
    OK, here's one - a forum that posted critique about X-cart got damaged and then after that someone hacked into an x-cart as well and messed it up badly.

    Until they prove they are clean and professional this post will stay up.

    Sorry, all your points are false here. Taking into consideration your nickname and one post in total, i would not trust it. Anyway let me explain some points about X-Cart hosting:

    - amount of accounts on one server depends on size/load of stores. We make sure all stores have high speed and do not have any problems with performance;

    - support team is in Russia, however engineers cover business hours in USA;

    - the point about hackers is absurd, sorry

    Should you have specific questions about the hosting - it would be wise to contact the team itself and ask them directly about all the concerns That is normal practice.
