Web 2.0 Fever
Hello All,
The IT Manager for whom I work has got Web 2.0 fever and a Department Manager needs to colaberate with planners and analysts at ten other government agencies. "Oh, and can we start today?"
Thus, I'm looking for Web 2.0 in a box. Either software for in-house or hosted that will let them blog, forum, collaberate, wiki and be social. It should also be easy to administer as we'd like end users in the Department Managers group to feed and water it.
Any recommendations?
Thanks,

Re: Web 2.0 Fever
In house, the only software I could think of off the top of my head that is built for interdepartmental company use that includes blogging, forums, wikis, chat, file sharing and other collaborations is Microsoft SharePoint, but that solution may be expensive. Microsoft also has a hosted equivalent service that may be better in terms of price and scalability. However, if you are working with government contracts, the software may already be vetted for secure use, and may be covered by existing licensing or purchasing agreements.

Thanks for the link. I've never seen a page quite like that. I'm bound to find something.

clearspace, Enterprise Social Software Products - Jive Software, springs to mind though I've never used it.

many of the CMS available through Cpanel/Fantasico have most of what you requested. And free.
