    Google Safe Browsing.

Google has more tools than I am aware of. Today if found this

Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page for multifinanceit.com/

tool, here tested on the second link in my signature.

How I found it may be interesting. Here is the post

and here is the search suggested by AVC

Cheney no bid contract oil fraud - Google Search

So I clicked the first link and found this interesting page:

    Malware Warning

    with a link to

Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page for www.billionairesforbush.com/

There is nothing new in the fact that images, PDF documents etc may contain malware.

I can see no problem with the hompe page Billionaires For Bush when I load it in Opera.

Did you know about this tool and is it better than other similar tools?

    Re: Google Safe Browsing.

McAfee Antivirus and AVG antivirus both offer similar tools. AVG offers a toolbar that checks the page you are visiting, as well as running an antivirus scan on every page listed on a search engine results page. Unfortunately, because the toolbar uses forged headers when performing its scan, pages with high rankings for common search terms are now reporting high bounce rates because the scan traffic can not be tracked or filtered by the webmaster.

McAfee's tool is a toolbar that checks the current domain against McAfee's database of scanned sites to report an estimate of the security of the page. Unlike AVG's tool, a malicious site may be able to detect McAfee's scans and hide malware so they show as safe, and these scans are not done in real time. Although AVG's database is closed, McAfees database on scanned sites can be viewed at: | Web Safety Ratings from McAfee SiteAdvisor

    Re: Google Safe Browsing.

Thank you for the fast reply.

Got an idea. It should be farly easy to make a JavaScript program to check all links in your favourites folder using the above Google tool and tools like Favorez - DHTML menu builder for website navigation using your own IE favorites.

    Any opinion?
