Mahalo vs Google

I switched tabs back to twitter and saw that Mahalo CEO Jason Calacanis was directing anyone interested in Russert information to the Mahalo page. I’d been to the site, but I’ll admit it was casual. I was certainly not expecting to find the most comprehensive list of links to a variety of different written and video. This was just 25 minutes after the story broke.

That SE is not new to me. You find it on http://www.surftoolbar.com/ (also deeper in the "Global Links") collection.

I think Google is not so afraid, since

1. Google AdSense seem to function on that (my) site, even if you do not find it in their index. I have problems with the consitency of that policy.
2. It did not on this http://www.w3toolbar.com/ so Google AdSense is eliminated from that site and will probably never be reincluded.

Now I am asking a question to ban bots and crawlers from my site.


Now I have banned GoogleBOT from W3Toolbar.com:

1. Robots.txt
   User-agent: Googlebot
   Disallow:
2. <META NAME="GOOGLEBOT" CONTENT="NOARCHIVE, NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW"> (I know it is unnecessary because of 1, but sometimes the devil is in the details).

So what is my new interesting test ? I will not tell anybody, you bet.
