    The Lake House

Sandra bullock left a book in the train station entitled "Persuasion" that Keanu kept for her. Does anybody know who wrote the book?

    Thanks

Hey thanks for that... I like reading books of that nature. Have you read the "Love in the time of Cholera"? The book in the movie Serendipity? Its where the lady wrote her name and number. Got other suggestions for a nice read?

    Re: The Lake House

I have not read "Love in the time of Cholera", i dont usually like love stories much, so maybe this sounds like a good one for me, if I get it and read it I will post back here.

I tell you another lovely book, its my favourite book and I don't even have it, but read it when I was staying somewhere once. It is A compilation of short stories by Oscar Wilde, they are kind of childrens' stories, but you asked for a nice read and this is a very nice read and I wasnt a child when I read them, but really enjoyed them, so it is the book I would recommend.

I just found them online actually, I havent read them for years, just remember that I loved this book
    Short Stories by Oscar Wilde

I am currently reading James Herbert's Secret Of Crickeley Hall, but wouldnt recommend that for bedtime reading, unless you want nightmares!

I like the idea of seeing what books are in films and reading them.

Aren't all of his books some what in horror or something?

Me too. I actually like Nicholas Sparks books as well, but not the movies made from them, the book is more complete. I also like Paolo Coelho.

    Thanks for sharing those above.

James Herberts books are horror, a bit like Stephen Kings, but I like them best because they usually have a twist in the tale. I love reading books with surprising twists, I dont have a very strong stomach for horror, I cant watch the films, I did when I was younger, but I dont know if I have got more scared or horror films have got more scary, but even the trailers of some of the recent horror films freak me out. I am still trying to recover from Nightmare On Elm Street, Freddy Krueger still haunts me.

I think Arthur C Clarke used to write good stories with twists in the tale as well. He may even have written a book of short stories called just that.
