I loved it. Jack Nicholson was basically Jack Nicholson but hey it works on him. Morgan Freeman was awesome too. The movie had such a good message. It made me laugh and it made me cry. Mostly it made me think about living each day as if it is the last.

Yes, the film is about two older men (in their 70's I'd guess) who both have terminal cancer. Between them they create a list of things to do before they die (Hence bucket list/kicking the bucket) and then precede to do as many as possible. It's very funny and touching and interesting how the characters interact as they're an unlikely pair from very different backgrounds.

I thought Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson did a great job with the script they had, but in my opinion the script could have been better written. I know a movie about death has to be dark, but in my opinion there weren't enough laughs and life lessons taught by these two guys facing the big D.

    Re: Bucket List

I did not like it. Two men arrive at the end of their lives - wishing and dreaming about all the things they wished they had done. I thought the theme was pathetic about wasted lives.

the acting was reasonably good, but not good enough to be believable. . I was left with a sour taste in my mouth thinking about other aging people that would arrive at the same place . . wishing they had . . . . .

This was a cheap film to keep a couple of actors working. the story line was none existent, probably an excuse to visit a few locations.

Not even an honest film. at no stage would one ever dream that either actor had not done everything that they wished to do with their lives, seen all the things they wanted to see . . . . Cheap film cheap script - probably why they needed well respected actors.
