Thread: How to find out which search results page you are on?

Question How to find out which search results page you are on?

    Hi all,

one question: If I want to find out which search results page my website is on for my keywords, how can I do that without having to search through hundreds of pages (I have not got any PR yet, so I have no idea where my site would be listed).
Is there a possibility to find out?

    Thanks.

    Petra

There are programs you can subscribe to that will create queries and produce reports on a site's position. Advanced Web Ranking is popular with some people around here. I use Accurate Monitor for Search Engines (and I believe they have a free version that works only for Google). I am not fond of any of them, really. Google's TOS does clearly warn against the use "automated" queries. In other discussions around here, I have been reassured that these are safe programs to use, but I still tend toward the manual method.

    Best wishes, MJ

I might be missing something here - my stats tell me which keywords brought visitor, and the stats page will take me right to the results page of the relevant engine (isn't it odd when you get clicks from page 300 in an SE's results...).

Maybe you're interested in high positions for keywords no-one has searched for, but I can't think why!
