I've recently launched Conservatory Blinds, patio awnings, window blinds and shutters from Thomas Sanderson

With new sitemaps et etc.

Logged into webmaster tools on google and its telling me we have zero internal and external links!!

While Google is usually pretty fast about downloading recent sitemaps, the aggregate data made available in Webmaster doesn't update as quickly. In fact, I think it is common to not see a reasonably accurate update to this information for 30 days at a time. Sometimes it takes longer to see results for the different stat fields than others. For instance, your web crawl stats will get updated, but the others will not.

Google is always making changes to Webmaster, and also keep in mind that they provide the service as a courtesy, so I doubt they are concerned about meeting timelines or other data control expectations.

I find that Google is really slow when it comes to showing links. I would suggest using Yahoo Site Explorer.

They update rather quickly and its a much better representation of your backlinks.
