I have a feeling that there are Google staff monitoring the 1st page listings for popular keywords (Such as Games, Online Games, Flash Games etc). Is that just my feeling or is it already a fact?

I have a feeling that there are Google staff monitoring the 1st page listings for popular keywords (Such as Games, Online Games, Flash Games etc). Is that just my feeling or is it already a fact?
I'm sure they monitor popular keyword searches. It's only logical that they pay attention to searches that are done by hundreds of thousands of their users every day.
