In the interest of determining the extent to which this forum facilitates a satisfactory search:

1) What search terms did you use?
2) How many results were returned for each?

..only much larger, and keyword analysed and targetted. and then they put these links in a table on their front page, only with their pagelinks in the anchors.

this is all perfectly acceptable?
So long as the strings here represented by "Competitor State Ticket Man" and "Hound Dog Tours" were not sufficiently close to "Penn State Ticket Man" and "Hound Dog Tours" so as to be confused with these registered marks, there would be no infringement and, therefore, no problem for either myself or my client.

With regards to infringement, it is the totality of a work that is the subject or review, not the elements of which it is comprised, or the ways by which it was constructed. You may be surprised to learn, for example, that the Title of a work cannot be copyright protected.

I've no idea as to your intent here, particularly given that you yourself here employ bold type.
