2 HTML pages embedded are Google-Indexing friendly are not?

I have seen a few pages where a 2nd HTML page in embedded into the 1st page. They both have their own Head, Title, Description and Keywords tags.

I need to ask, does Google indexes such pages where a 2nd HTML page is embedded in the first one?

I don't think it works like that.

Are you talking about a page with frames in it?

yes, It'll index both pages, but the page that'll be embedded in will recieve uniqe traffic and ppl won't see your main page. but if your main page dispalys in search then it'll work.

I hope this was your question's answer.

There are several ways in which a page might be "embedded" into another that I can think of. Frames, inline frames and server side includes. If you are talking about frames, more often than not SE will not get to the pages inside the frames, and in the case they will, the pages will be showed by themselves in the browser unless you have some orphan pages control implemented. The same applies to inline frames. Respect to server side includes, they are resolved at a server level and the SE will see it as HTML with no difference.

I sometimes fit two pages onto the one screen.
But to be truthful I never considered whether search engines find both pages.

I was fairly confident that they were searched. . but now you ask the question, I too am curious.

I cannot recall where I have one to show you. As a rule I simply insert the new page html into the old one and allow space at the top for the original page to show. It is not something I do regularly. But it does have its use sometimes.

I mainly use it for special events, that might be coming up in a few days - I simply create a events special invitation page. poke in enough <BR> s to get me below the old page. then simply insert the code into any pages I think the message needs to go. It does sound a peculiar way to do things. But in reality you can paste code in a hundred pages for two days - and people see it.. (huge time saver, and no need to touch the old page - just lengthen it.

I even placed A page alongside another page once. I had a horoscope I wanted to place for a few days. Horizontal seemed to work fine. users just scrolled sideways to find it . . It worked well...

But did it gete searched. . I do not know. . .

P.S. You might try one of those keyword analysis pages, then make up the two pages each with different words, and see what some our the SEO tools make of it.
