That was my point. So if you do not have an API key you can't use the tool for Google.

But, John, I made that point earlier when I wrote:

That was a waste of my time ... and yours ... and that of anyone who bothers to read all posts between that one and this! I love ya, John, and you're brilliant and can be a good teacher ... but that was a pointless exercise, as it turns out.

If you felt the point was not made clearly enough, you could have simply repeated it with a line that went something like: GoogleRankings is useless for anyone who doesn't have the SOAP API ...

That one is too limited; it only checks the top 100 listings. I prefer Scroogle's Google scraper in that case.

I have tried many tools for checking SERP with major search engines in first 1000 records,but all are not reliable...Can anyone refer me to some reliable and useful tool to check the SERP.

I'm using IBP. I think this is more accurate.
