"Web site jumps when navigating between pages." ???
My client says the following about this web site Call Center & Logistics Services - National CCL
"When you click on menu items the screen ‘jumps’ momentarily to white screen. "
I have no idea what he is talking about. I don't see anything like what he describes occurring.
Anyone have any idea what he may mean?
I think I saw the same issue your client is seeing.
In Internet Explorer, the site seems to flicker slightly when moving from page to page. I think this may simply be an artifact of the page load time. He may be comparing the site to a flash site that loads content immediately without the entire page reloading (also possible with AJAX). Because of the images and backgrounds, there will be some flicker on this site, although Firefox seems to hide it better. You might be able to minimize this by setting the background color to black in the <body> tag, so the browser immediately displays a black page before the style sheets and images are loaded - this could provide a less jarring transition between pages.

That's really odd. I see it too. Sometimes the whole screen goes white while it's loading the next page. It doesn't happen on other sites I tried that have dark backgrounds so I suspect it's something to do with the way it's programmed.
I too would first recommend putting the background colour in the body tag.
When you've done that, post here and I'll try it again.

I've ran into this before as well and by doing what dave and wige recommended and adding black as the background color in your body tag it should go away. Nice looking site BTW,
I did what you guys suggested with the bg color in the body tag. The client still says he is still experiencing the problem. I'm wondering if it's the image preloading script in the body tag. Any ideas?

It's much, much better than it was before. There is still the occasional very short white blip, but I wouldn't worry about it any more.
