    Intel Core 2 Duo..

recently, i have posted an article about Intel Core 2 Duo at my blog located at Public Knowledges Library: Technology ,
however, i know this is the old article because it published on December 2006. And my question here, is Intel Core 2 Duo is the powerest processor in the world?

No, I definitely think not. In addition, now, I think there are Intel Quad-Core processors personal computers.

In addition you haveNote you will not be able to compute PI of you had all of them operating on different digits of PI.

    I agree with KGun,

For a desktop CPU its good, but as far as "best" including server class, no... Some big mentions such as KGun mention, sunfire servers sport some of the most expensive hardware in the world. But those have special dedications.. Hope this helps some.

I believe the OP mentioning to desktop CPU only In that case, Core2duo is a very good CPU. Quad cores CPU is great too, but it's a bit more expensive. In fact, Intel Quad Cores is just the combination of 2 dual cores (but dont assume the performance will be double).

FYI, we run a bunch of dual cores and quad cores in hosting servers, and they're working great
