Logo a Go-Go Contest

HC2 is pleased to announce our new "Logo a Go-Go" contest. We are calling on graphic designers to create fresh variations of our logo. Top designers will receive free web hosting for one year. For more information, please visit our contest page.

A few emails have come through already asking for clarification of prizes, and requesting more in terms of prizes. I will answer the common questions, but ask that any further questions be directed to me via PM, or email on the site.

1. There will be 3 top prizes awarded, all of them are the same web hosting package. We will consider awarding additional prizes (web hosting) should there be enough quality submissions.
2. The submissions will be judged by a panel, who will ultimately give each submission a score out of ten. All scores for a particular submission will be tallied to determine the total, which will be weighed against other submissions.
3. Prizes have been upgraded to two years of free web hosting as opposed to one. This is so that it worth your while to actually put in the effort to change DNS entries and transfer files over.

What's that worth?

In light of further discussion amongst the organizing committee, we have decided to give the top three entrants a choice of (not 1 but) 2 years web hosting -or- $40 (each) paid via PayPal. The web hosting plan is worth $120, but winners will be given the choice of cash $40.

We are not asking you to spend tons of time on this, so really it is all about the economy of effort. Give a little, and you get a little. What the winners choose to do with their accounts after the fact (use them, sell them) is up to them. So far only a few entries have come through, and we are hoping that the quality will continue to improve with additional submissions.

The contest is still open and will not close until the 10th of August 2007. Enter once or as much as you'd like.
