I do not use them Deep. I have never spent one, eaten one, slept with one. earned one, believed in one, worshipped one.
I do not recall ever seeing a 'used number' for sale.
I merely write 8082 on this post for WPW to use. 8082 is not mine, I am not using it, I have no need of it.
I merely understand the concept of counting and am content to submit it for others to use.
(It is an unused 8082) that I never had before I posted it. It is not a real one Deep .

I do not use numbers deep. I do not sleep with them, I do not dream of them, I do not eat them, and I have no numbers hidden away in drawers. ( I have never grown them in my garden.)
I shall however submit this number 8084 simply because I do understand the concept of number. I understand
WebProWorld Will locate it as minor navigation aid . . I have never owned or even possessed this number, I have merely re-located it out of the nothingness, I can not guarantee it is unused original or virginal.
This number has no inherent value. . . Any value it may acquire must be created inside some body's head or maybe by some computer software. It is quite possible for 8084 to assist in creating a level of value with some intellectual input.
I do fully appreciate that numbers are created by problem solvers as an aid to solving huge (or sometimes minor) problems. The concept creates a clarity when applied to specific tasks. I will however argue forever that numbers created to prove the correctness of other numbers is no more than an intellectual wank.
Somebody can delete the previous posts - Web pro World was having an hallucinatory episode

Sleep has no inherent value. Neither do dreams, nor that which is eaten or hidden away in a drawer.
Words and speech are neither original or virginal.
If number are non-existent by virtue of being a concept, or having no inherent value, then nothing is extant.
Are you telling me that the sausage I just ate was not real. . That I could have simply absorbed some numbers?
Are you telling me That the number 8088 has a value before someone assigns a value to it. I consider it to have no inherent value, the same as the word "yutsssdnlo" . . Until at least somebody recognises it, or asigns it a value or a meaning.
I have just given the word "yutsssdnlo" a purpose . (Now it has a value)
P.S.
'8088 sausages' has a value.

Numbers provide context. Saying there is a lot of people there will mean different things to different people. Saying there is 1,000,000 makes it clear to everyone (assuming they understand the concept of million).
8088 Sausages has value because we understand that is a lot of delicious eats right there. :O)

Ahhh. but "8088" will forever be available - wherever you are, whatever the weather, as long as you have a pen to write it down or a memory to store it in, and the sense to assign it a value, or context.
I keep my sausages Frozen.

You're right about number, @Tubby. There is only one, and it started with us counting on our digits. One, another one, another one, ... until we ran out of digits; ergo, '1111' with a stroke through it. Number defines our whole counting system, and everything else stems from that, be it geometry, algebra, calculus, &c.
