Thread: eCommerce solutions for selling digital goods

Re: eCommerce solutions for selling digital goods

I have used Digital Vault for selling digital products for two clients. It works with PayPal and doesn't send the item until the Payment has been processed through PalPal. There is an initial fee for the DV software (with great tech support) and no fees thereafter.

Re: eCommerce solutions for selling digital goods

Hi, I have a similar doubt concerning this topic.

I would like to develop an e-commerce "Portal" for selling specific digital items. I've found a lot of solutions but not what I really want. I want something just like eBay but without the auction part. A shop where the users could sell their own digital items. In exchange I will be paid a fee for each transaction through paypal.

    Can anyone help me?

But I lack a store front and back end features that I can manage the digital products. For e.g. a product catalog management system that I can upload the logo templates, have product detail page, product search category / subcategory. Also highlight featured products in homepage and other cross-sell functions.

Something close to Affordable & Professional Company & Business Logo Design, 3D Logos & Web Page Templates, Stationery & Website Design - Pixellogo or Professional logo design and corporate identity will be ideal. Do you think is there such a 3rd party solutions available? I hope I could just copy some codes and paste into my current website and it could work as I don't wish to change the look and feel of it. In addition, do not wish to spend too much time installing software.

As I advised to someone e;lse in another thread, try LiteCommerce cart. The key feature: it wil generate BuyNow buttons which you can "just copy and paste" on your current website. Plus they have addon for digital product downloading, plus addons for search, featured products in homepage and for crossselling too. The best part is easy design in Dreamweaver.
Even with addons, this won't be too costly. This cart is announced as for small and medium business, and the prices are according. And it's PHP, as you wanted
P.S. And HostBrain is right - you should necessarily check your merchant account provider. If their gateway supports this cart or not, I mean.

Would like to leave a comment. I agree with Mailor , LiteCommerce has very good module for selling downloadable products. What i like the most is you can send PIN codes also and that useful if you sell software or some similar products.

Also it is perfect for e-commerce beginners and easy-to-customize (in comparison to oscommerce for example).
