I've been reading the past posts in this forum for a few days now... learning lots of things about what makes a logo effective and ineffective... reading critiques and reviews of the logos you've all posted... excellent stuff.
I'm an eBook author and I made a Website for my eBook. And I created a logo that is... absolutely terrible. I mean, when I first made it, I thought I did a pretty good job. But when I compare my logo to the logos of my competitors, mine seems like it was created by someone with no computer-artistic talent.
(You can see my logo at: Guide to Getting the Teaching Job of Your Dreams - Homepage ). It's basically various fonts that spell out the title of a book on a yellow background.
I tried to update it... make it better.... REALLY I did... but the truth is.... I stink at making logos.
So I did some searches on "professional logos". And I can find some great professionals that will create logos for me, but the problem is they cost a FORTUNE. I can't spend 300 bucks on a logo when I only sell an ebook or two a week-- It's not that I'm being cheap, but I'd never make up the cost. I'm just a little guy who makes less than 20 bucks a week selling eBooks.
So I guess my question is this: Where can I find someone who makes nice logos at a a (relatively) inexpensive price? I suppose I would pay 40 bucks or so.... but there's no way I could spend hundreds.
I'd prefer something light and somewhat cartoonish... but still professional-looking. I don't like eBooks that have pictures of hard-copy books on their site-- I think that's misleading. Something that sort of blends with the site's layout and color scheme would be ideal.
Anyway... any ideas where I can turn to find a good logo designers that don't cost a fortune?
Thanks in advance for any and all replies.
