    Please review our Corporate Website

    Hi all,

This is my first post in this forum and I hope i'll get more than what i am expecting. Well, let me come to the point we have a website.
Mobius E-Commerce Services - delivers end-to-end back office services – E-catalog Management, Datafeed Services, Customer Support Services, Price Analysis and Customized Services

I’d like to know your suggestions and comments on the same.

Before that I’d like to explain about my company in brief. We, Mobius knowledge Services operating from India and the US, is a KPO firm offering back office services to E-commerce industry, currently targeting online merchants and comparison engines. Established in the year 2002, Mobius has helped few big clients (Sorry, I don’t have rights to disclose their names).

    About our Business Model:

Mobius uses its 'Xtended arm' business model to help merchants deal with all their operational levels challenges. This model calls for a FTE based billing, where Captain Mobius manages multiple tasks within the designated hours, month after month, supported by a team of dedicated subject matter experts working for him (remember, Captain Mobius is already a subject expert and has a thorough knowledge of generic processes).

All that is required from the client are the specifications involved in his particular business process. This is the only ‘training’ that is required. Besides, this training is entirely web-based and the client has no need to deploy any of his team members on a full-time basis for this activity.

Please have a look at this website and its contents.

I’d feel great if you can leave suggestions/comments by considering the following factors
    • Look and Feel – The Layout design, The Color, and The fonts (to be precise your knee-jerk reaction on this website)
    • The Concept of Captain Mobius
    • The Communication – Does the Website CONTENT & THE PICTURE deliver the message?
    • Navigation and Link Structure
    • Is this website looking like a slapstick website?
Your suggestions/comments will be of great help to us. Thanks in Advance

I'll deal purely on the SEO side of it, no doubt others will have their views on the animation side.

    1. Get rid of the splash screen. Looks cheap and just gets in the way. The search engines can't find any links into your website.

    2. You have a great logo, but the cartoon Captain is all wrong for business. Shoot him dead.

    3. On the Who page, you make me scroll in a small window for no good reason.

That's why I did not say anything. It's childish. Sorry, bad concept. Sorry

Sorry, I can't envision a scenario where any company would commit seven, six, or even five figures annually to an outsourcing organization presenting itself this way. Look at the sites of the major players in this field... EDS, IBM Global Services, ADP, even your fellow countrymen like Cognizant and Tata. Like it or not, these giants ARE your competitors, or drive the business models of smaller comparative service organizations.

Sorry, it's overkill and way off base. Content is ok, but I think you would do best redo the entire look and use of the site. It will sink before it makes shore.

Feedback should be honest.. hope you feel the same way

Re: Please review our Corporate Website

The color scheme is okay and the logo is great!

I concur with DaveBarnes' recommendations plus the following suggestions:

    1) Your navigation menu links should be text-based and not images.

    2) Textual content would be much more readable with a white background.

    3) Remove the Javascript content scroller in the middle column. It's too slow and awkward to use. Just let users scroll down the page.

    4) The right column where you've placed "Captain Mobius" is a waste of valuable space. You'd be much better off to remove it and make the text in the middle column span further across the page. There'd be less vertical scrolling.

    5) Your keywords and meta descriptions will be much more useful and effective if they're focused specifically to the content on each page. (There are other search engines besides Google that still utilize the keywords and meta descriptions tags.)

    6) Your page titles should reflect the specific content on each page and, where possible, use some of your targeted keywords or key phrases.

    7) Change the page headings. For example, change the "Online Merchants" image to text and use the <h1></h1> tags.

Your subheadings should incorporate the header tags as well. For example, <span class="subheading"> would be much more beneficial were you to use the <h4></h4> tags.

    9) Try to add some hyperlinks inside the content. Where possible, the link text should include your targeted keywords.
