    Scheduled Downtime

At (or around) Midnight (eastern standard time) tomorrow night (Saturday May, 19), the forum will be down while we make the move to the new software/database.

I have tried this move several times now in a sandbox environment and the import is taking about 40 minutes, reindexing runs another 15 or so and misc. configs run another 5 to 10 minutes.

In other words, we're looking at roughly an hour's worth of downtime.

When we come back up, there won't (or shouldn't be) much in the way of changes. The forum should be pretty much a direct port of the existing phpBB forum. One thing I've noticed in the trial runs is that Avatars have been problematic.

We will be sure to hang on to everybody's images, but you may not see then until we get back into the office. I'm thinking about relaxing the restrictions on avatars anyway so maybe we'll just make some new ones.

Anyway, the move is going on Saturday night around midnight and we'll be off for about an hour while it happens.

    Couple issues:

    1. The reload this page image in the upper left is missing.

    2. I am not getting any subscription emails from threads that I have posted in since the switch over has taken place. Any ideas?

    3. Why dont you have it defaulted to email the poster when replying to thread?? Right now the default is no email.

Why cant I subscribe to threads without replying? Remember "watch this thread for replys"? If this options has been deleted that would not a be good idea at all.

Let me clarify. I am getting subscriptions to replies AFTER the switch over, but how about all the other threads I was subscribed to before? I will never know if someone replies to those. Are all those subscriptions gone?

Mike it might be a good idea to add a Sticky error reporting thread?

It seems the post editor (standard extra formating controls) is not working right. I tried clicking the "Insert Link" option and just got some weird pop-up instead of a field to enter the URL.

The pop-up has a banner to this website:

    http://www.ironspeed.com/products/Do....aspx?c=iEntry

You can see and manage your subscriptions from your User CP interface. Subscriptions from phpBB will not carry over though.
