    a question

    if i have a page that ranks say #2 for a search term and then i tweek a little and all of a sudden it no longer ranks well, can i put the page back exactly how it was and expect to regain the #2 listing that i had a few days earlier?

    If it was only the changes you made that dropped your ranking, yes. If it was something else in the algo that changed, no.

    With Google, incoming links will count for so much that it's tough to say a simple change on a page made a big up / down difference.
