    keyword domain

    Hi,
I purchased many years ago some keyword domains which I thought where pretty useful and they as well where showing up quite good. Nowadays it looks like they do not so good any longer and all white hat SEO efforts are not getting the expected result. In Arelis IBP9 I encountered that the keywords in the domain should not be over 33% if one wants to rank good in Google. But my domain http://www.billige-mietwagen.de has 100% of the phrase and 50% per keyword, which according to IBP 9 results in being penalized by Google. Is that true? Should I create instead a subdomain http:// other-keyword.billige-mietwagen.de ??

Arelis compares your website to websites above yours in SER but it doesn't mean that they are perfect.
    Let's take http://www.cheapflights.co.uk/ or http://www.discounthotels.com/ - are they penalized ?
    Example:
% of URLs that contain the search term:
    my web - 5th place :0%
    1st place: 0%
    2nd palce:23%
    3rd place:50%
    4rd place:14%

So.. as you can see range from 0%-50%

Take things from IBP with a grain of salt. They're not Google, so they are trying to make observations and come to conclusions, many may be wrong.

I wouldn't worry about the domain too much. Try searching for wii and wii.com comes up. Search for dewalt and dewalt.com comes up. I don't see a problem with the domain matching the keyword.

BTW, white hat works well. We're doing quite well with white hat techniques. Well enough, in fact, that I'm having to find new keywords all the time because we're ranking top 5 for all the ones I've tried optimizing for already.

Thanks all, I feel better now and will try to work my way up again, but with more confidence that the domain name is not the problem.
