As far as your web design business is concerned, I don't even see what good the social networks would be. For instance, who among their posters, bloggers, members, whatever, have any interest in the topic? However good these Web 2.0 portals may be, I fail to see any benefit they can bring to any regular business website. It's song, dance, music, opinion forming and making, social and political issues, arguments to and fro -- this sort of stuff that comprises their content.
Yet your wildlife park is probably worth some effort. This seems to be much more of an appropriate area for generating curiosity and comment. Your one concern here, though, is that some tree hugging type could damn you with faint praise or something much more damaging.
