    FindWhat.com to Merge with eSpotting

After over a year of discussion and delays that stretched anticipation for months, FindWhat.com, a leader in performance-driven marketing, has finally signed an amended merger agreement with eSpotting Media Inc., which was voted “Best European Paid Placement Service” by Search Engine Watch Awards.

This international merger promises to offer paid listings to 12 countries across 3 continents and expects to have over 100,000 relationships with businesses around the globe. Craig Pisaris-Henderson, chairman and CEO of FindWhat.com, says the agreement "changes the landscape in our industry and creates a new international leader in the performance-based Internet marketing and commerce enabling market sectors.” FindWhat.com also announced yesterday that they received record results for the fourth quarter of 2003, with a revenue increase of 57% versus the previous year. Q4 2003 marks FindWhat.com’s seventeenth sequential increase in revenue and their eleventh sequential increase in pre-tax income.

FindWhat.com is already a major resource for e-Businesses so it should be interesting to see how this all plays out.

What are your expectations for this merger? Will FindWhat.com's success continue throughout 2004?

    Brittany,

Garrett also mentioned that FindWhat has also just made dealings with the Verizon Superpages (http://www.webproworld.com/viewtopic.php?t=13528) Do you see any coorelation with Verizon and Espotting? Or are they just strictly clients of the FindWhat PPC business model? Thanks for any further information you can provide.

    FindWhat

FindWhat also acquired Miva Corporation in late 2003.
With over 250,000 Miva Merchants (of which I am one)
FindWhat has a very large community to draw revenue from with per-per click fees alone.
Miva Marketplace listings will likely be replaced or integrated with FindWhat products in the near future.
For those WPW members that are Miva Merchants or others interested in FindWhat's very busy year here is the original press release:

    Ask yourself:-

Do you really want Traffic form these 12 countries and 3 continents?

Are you able to make sales to these places?

If not you may end up paying for Traffic that does not result in a good Return On Investment.

    Catch up with Overture

Espotting might be the best european PPC engine and findwhat another good player but the fact is that both of them have long way to go.I wish they can do it by being together.

    Still no match for Overture!

This is very true...but I'm sure they'll filter these results (over time) like google does.

I'm sure with this deal, it will start that relationship of growing together. Who knows...they might be international PPC search authority while Google is the US authority on PPC. In any case, competition is a VERY good thing for consumers. If all goes well, I'm guessing that you'll see lower PPC prices from google due to this type of competition.
