Name Server Issue with Yahoo Hosting

    Hi,

I have got a hosting account with a host about 10 days ago and a domain name hosting with yahoo.com about 8 months ago. I have the Plesk Control Panel and I have created successfully 2 name servers for my domain with two dedicated IPs. My host told me to update the name server settings at my domain registrar and I tried but failed due to error from yahoo. On contact they told me that they have to create the name servers with my IPs to update the name servers. I told them to go ahead. Yesterday I got the email from them. That the work has been done and it will take maximum 24 hours to update. I updated the name servers and then tried all day and even now when almost 26 hours has been gone still can't find my domain pointing to my new host. Its still going to yahoo starter page at yahoo.

My domain name is www.skwebtech.com. I am doubtful here that there wasn't the need to create nameservers at yahoo. My website is working for about a week now using the IP address in url but www.skwebtech.com is still yet to be mapped to the new host.

Can anyone plz advice me if I am going in correct direction or gone wrong somewhere.

    Thanks,

    Khurram.

When I view www.skwebtech.com I get a 500 Internal Server Error page, the IP address is being resolved to 64.187.111.231

Assuming that that is the correct IP then the DNS appears to be correct and you just have a problem with Internet Information Server which your host should be able to fix for you.

http://www.dnsstuff.com is quite useful for checking DNS configurations as it flags any problems. It is reporting that your reverse DNS is not configured yet, again this is something your host can fix for you.

Thanks a lot buddy. I found it was my cache problem. Regarding the IIS error, I have sort it out after analyzing IIS error log. Yes, I have a VPS connection.

    Thanks,

    Khurram.
