I could really do with a list of press release web sites.
If anyone has any suggestions or knows a post that contains such a list, be a dear, and let me know.

My company is just getting into this as well. We found that we were able to find some industry specific wire services that were fairly cheap, and of course the big newswires -- but they are expensive.
What industry are you in? Often times you can just pick up the phone and call the news/business/whatever department at your local newspaper and talk to the editor then send your release to them directly. That works well, it doesn't take too long and for us it lead to a short article being written about us in the Dallas Morning News recently.
I had just ran into a site on this
recently. If I can recall it I will
let you know swiftly.
I don't have a list, but I think prweb.com (paid) should work for you.
There is also a free one - prleap, but I have no experience with this one..
I just signed up for prleap.com, they apparently push press releases out to the search engines for pickup in Google News and other news services, etc.
Many thanks to you, I have made a short list, More are needed lets keep them coming:
www.prweb.com
www.prleap.com
www.prnewswire.com
www.24-7pressrelease.com
www.prfree.com
www.sanepr.com
www.free-press-release.com
www.pressmethod.com
www.i-newswire.com
www.express-press-release.com
www.addpr.com
www.pr.com
I know there is more out ther but I simply have no idea what they are called.
Make any additions you can.
That's great. Thanks for that list!
Hi,
Nice list going on up there - does anyone have any experience with any of these? I've only really released through Pr Web so far but would be interested to know what you guys think of the rest?
Thanks,
Darren.
Janeth in another thread gave a list here:
Submit free Press Releases here: http://www.geeksonsteroids.com/forum...ghlight=#28898
I haven't checked any of them out nor have I done this yet (Press Releases), but I am getting ready to look into it.
HTH!
This is the list we use. As far as experience with them goes, it really depends on the article or press release. Well written ones get good attention. Sales fluff gets passed up.
